Faith
Faith is the cornerstone of Shady Grove. It is part of every activity we do and every meeting that we hold.
We believe there is only ONE God (Deuteronomy 6:4). He is the creator of heaven and earth and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father {Creator}, as the Son {Savior}, and as the Holy Ghost {indwelling Spirit}.
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. Through baptism we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues.

Scripture
The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. In Scripture, we find all that we need to guide us through our life journey. Reading and understanding Scripture helps us all live a life pleasing to Jesus on a daily basis.
2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
Community
Join us! Shady Grove is a church striving to become a 21st Century Apostolic Church. We welcome each and every one of you to encounter the Lord's unconditional love with us. We believe in the great commission and are endeavoring to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love, mercy and compassion.

Youth Ministry
Youth is a unique period of life - one filled with exploration, discovery, excitement and fulfillment. Shady Grove Youth Ministry provides a nurturing, safe and loving environment for young people to explore the Word of God and find revelation for themselves.
Age 12-21
Philippians 4:9 The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
Children's Ministry
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a message for everyone, especially our precious children! Exposing your child to the Lord's direction when they are young gives them guidance, hope and strength that lasts a lifetime.
Sunday: Sunday school 10 am for ages 6 weeks to 11 years old
Wednesday: Kids' Power Hour 7 pm for ages 4 to 11 years old
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
One Step Recovery
This is an independent ministry, sponsored in part by Shady Grove UPC. Our primary purpose is to provide a strong base of spiritual support for every person in their efforts towards recovery. We are a fellowship of people recovering from the devastation of our lives brought on by various addictions. We feel the spiritual principles upon which this program is created are vital to any program of recovery.

LADIES' MINISTRY
Our ladies' ministry is looking to reach and include all the women in our community. We meet for Bible study every Tuesday 12 PM at Miss Bs in Jena. We also have a monthly Bible study the second Sunday night of every month at 6 PM, except October, November and December, in our Family Life Center.
